MINIMUM ORDER POLICY FOR EU COUNTRIES
There is a minimum order of £150 net for all EU and Northern Ireland customers. This was introduced due to the new VAT rules imposed by the EU for imports.
We will maintain our no minimum order policy for the UK and all other countries.
We will continue to monitor any tax and import changes so we can always offer the best options to you.
Don’t forget all orders in the EU will now automatically qualify for FREE delivery and we offer same day dispatch on all orders placed by 3pm.
If you have any questions regarding this change please don’t hesitate to contact us via Live Chat on our website where we are on hand to answer your query from 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday-Friday or email [email protected]
PLACING YOUR EU ORDER
EORI NUMBER
Any business importing and exporting goods to the EU will need an EORI number.
- An EORI number (Economic Operator Registration and Identification Number) is a unique ID code used to track and register customs information in the EU.
- Your EORI number will be unique to you.
- To find out more and register for an EORI number please visit your national government website.
DUTY RATES AND CUSTOM CHARGES
- Under the UK Government agreement, the EU trade deal guarantees zero tariffs on goods however, this is only applicable to products made in the UK and EU. As an international importer, we source our products worldwide so duty rates will still apply.
- Duty rates will vary by item but the average duty rate, using World Trade Organisation rules, will be approx. 4.3% for gift products.
- You will be charged a €15* clearance charge in order to receive your goods which will be payable to the courier company.
€15 is the standard clearance charge applicable however we are aware that some of our customers have experienced different charges. If you have experienced charges different to the standard charge, please let us know by emailing our customer care team here and we will do everything we can to help.
PAYING CUSTOMS CHARGES
- To make things simple we have partnered with UPS as our ‘Customs Agent’.
- UPS will contact you to let you know what customs duty you must pay and the goods will be cleared through customs and delivered to you.
PAYING VAT
- There will no longer be VAT on any invoices from Something Different Wholesale.
- You will now be governed by the tax rules of your country.
- VAT will be charged at the rate applicable for your country before the goods are delivered to you. This information will be provided to you by UPS with instructions on how to make payment.
